Upon graduating with Psychology honours in 1986, Ambrose spent 7 years in banking, the last 4 in merchant banking in Construction Finance. He then established 2 separate business ventures whilst simultaneously pursuing further study in Counseling, and becoming registered as a Psychologist.

 

Ambrose then gained positions with DBM Australia, Power Human Resources, and finally with Chandler Macleod where he was Senior Psychologist. In 2004 he established his own practice in order to bring together and blend his areas of interest with organisational needs.

 

Consulting

Ambrose has consulted to all manner of industry and mixed with individuals at every level of organisations for over 10 years. He has led talent management projects, undertaken extensive job analysis requirements, & assisted with implementing investigative performance management and employee support programmes.

 

Ambrose has either held principal relationships with, or worked on a contracting basis with Organisations such as BHP, MLC, ANZ Ascalon, Bayer, Chubb, Resimac, Credit Recruitment Services, Australian Health, CBA, Allied Telesyn NZ, Festival Records, KONE Elevators, Drayton Coal, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal, Siemens Dematic, Swisslog, Colby Powder, and Warner Music.

Coaching

Ambrose has worked with a wide range of presenting issues and supported individuals in any number of outcomes and goals. He is trained in coaching and counseling, as well as being a Psychologist. He has further government accredited qualifications in NLP change & learning methodology.

 

He has coached and / or developed written ‘action plans’ with executives & managers in a wide range of industries from transport & heavy industry, manufacturing, banking & finance, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and recruitment.

 

Assessment

Ambrose has undertaken over 1500 assessments, mostly for individual selection. He is an experienced interviewer, and has written and run training courses for managers & recruiters on how to interview effectively.

 

Career Transition / Outplacement

Ambrose has delivered a wealth of Outplacement and Career Transition programmes to over 1000 individuals. He has helped to manage the emotional reactions of many individuals at the immediate time of retrenchment.

 

Maximise SalesTraining / Sales / Other

In 2004 Ambrose co-authored a sales based text, following his development and delivery of sales workshops.

 

He has either developed, and / or delivered training modules specialising in human communication, active listening, influence and persuasion skills, dealing with conflict, assertiveness, stress & work-life balance, and also in leadership training.
